From a ruin of an old agricultural farm about three hundred years old, located at a place called “Can Bassó” near Santa Eulalia del Rio in Ibiza, Anne Dimmers revived a beautiful Ibiza finca.
Assisted by his brother Francis, project manager, Anne managed a respectful renovation of the architecture and local techniques while providing a contemporary key to the pleasure of exceptional stays.
Surrounded by carob trees these more than a century old, “Can Bassó” was a rural house with a threshing floor where it separated the wheat from the chaff, an aljub (tank) fed via a channel by rainwater captured earlier by a large collection basin lined with flat stones.
It brought together the main building including el Porxo, kitchen and two bedrooms, plus annexes such as sheep pens and stables. The house has been preserved and renovated, but the buildings for agricultural use had to be demolished and completely rebuilt identically. via e-magdeco
